Apparently, your ex-County Commissioner, Vince Perez is doing quite well for himself in the local campaign circuit.
Which is good for him because for a second there he was kind of unemployed, and is married, or was, I don't know, to a wife with a part-time job splitting time in between two cities.
That cannot be an easy situation to be broke in.
Anyways.
Forma stops doing campaigns.
Eddie Holguin starts doing them, but nobody really wants to deal with Eddie.
Enter Vince, who looks at least more polished than Eddie.
Of course, people want to give money to Vince if the alternative is Eddie.
So far so good.

Now, let me be clear, I do not care if UMC issues bonds.
That is y'alls bill to pay.
But do not think for a second this will be the last time you UMC will issue, or want to issue, bonds. It will be 2030, and UMC will ask all of you again to build a new tower or something.

Where was this Vince when all these local ISDs with declining enrollment asked for money?
Oh, that's right.
He was on the receiving end of the trough.
But because Vince is now persona non grata in the El Paso political scene, well, why not stick it to everybody by trying to kill this bond proposal.
So that one-time a former County Judge, and sitting sheriff, went out of their to humiliate Vince...well, it is Vince's turn now.
