Yea, I know.
It's been a minute.
More about that later or maybe not.
Anyways.
So apparently your ex-congressperson, Beto O'Rourke, wants to run for governor.
Today is September 20th, 2021.
Beto announced he was running for Senate back on March 31st, 2017.
This motherfucker has spent the last 4 years running for something.
Which got me thinking?
How does he pay the bills?
"Uh, Bill, can you spot me something? We got a disconnection notice, and Ulysses really needs his tablet."
This is who Democrats are pinning their hopes on....a twice-failed candidate who depends on his wife for financial support.
Talk about "white privilege".
But anyways.
So Beto will go five years straight of campaigning.
Which this time will be interesting because Beto cannot run the same playbook when he ran for Senate.
I mean, can Beto hold rallies and rail against the Governor for his handling of the Wuhan?
His campaign will likely have to be less impromptu.
And then there's the whole border schtick.
What might have worked four years ago, might not work given all the shit that is going on in South Texas.
Democrats went from railing against "children in cages" to looking the other way when it comes to Haitians under a bridge.
Then there's the question of money.
Beto probably spent over $100 million of other people's money on his failed Senate and presidential campaigns...post-pandemic do people want to fork that kind of money over to a twice-failed candidate?
