Hi.
If there is one area of electoral politics I do not care for it is for school board races.
For starters...the children.
To hell with them.
Teachers?
Same.
And Trustees?
Hell isn't severe enough.
"I serve on the school board."
Yeah, tough gig, bro.
But I am rambling now.
Anyways.
Something strange is afoot in these school board races.
Apparently State Representative Claudia Ordaz's husband, former County Commissioner Vince Perez, works for CREEED's PAC running several campaigns. But his name does NOT appear on CREEED's campaign finance report.
Clerical error? I do not know. It would seem like a pretty big clerical error. I assume Vince is getting paid well, but does not want anyone to know that.
Why?
Cos' he does not want teacher unions going after his wife.
Let me be clear, teacher unions...fuck 'em.
On the other hand, Vince and Claudia are Democrats, and their lackey Jaime Abeytia, is a partisan asshole that thinks vouchers and Republican money suck...until it ends up in his pocket.
So yea.
Like watching the Battle of Stalingrad, I want to see both sides lose here, but that is, however, unlikely.
One side is going to win.
And I do not think it will be El Paso's faux power couple.
You already had CongresspersXn Veronica Escobar pulled her endorsement of a CREEED candidate. In pulling her endorsement, she mentioned some bullshit about transparency. Gee. I wonder what she means by that.
If I am being honest....
....I do not believe Vince Perez is being nefarious or unethical or something like that.
He is trying to be the smartest guy in the room.
But his problem is that he tries too hard, which is why nobody likes him and the knives are out for him.
