Love him or hate him, you still gotta appreciate the motherphucker's body of political work.

Are you really surprised?

Are y'all really that shocked and surprised that a local area superintendent acted out like he did recently?

The guy drives around in a Porsche wearing pinstripe suits.

Who does that anymore?

That shit was cool maybe in 1987. 

There is a pattern of behavior with this guy.

Whether banging employees, violating state campaign finance laws, or getting drunk and starting shit a Whataburger, is the kinda a guy you want to pay over a quarter of million to run your school district?

What would happen if some kid showed up at Ysleta High drunk and head-butted a teacher or student?

You think pinstripes is gonna cut the kid slack?

Well, maybe if the kid head-butted a student.

But definitely not if the kid head-butted a teacher.

Teachers can vote.

 

El Paso Delegation - Update Sort Of

I tried to get you a decent DA. 

But that man does not want to give up his current job. 

I know he thinks he can do bigger and better things where he is at now. 

That is all nonsense. 

I remember one-time I was at a trade show I meet two folks from Korea, one was an middle-aged guy and another a young girl.  I guess the young girl was a bit of brown-noser because she was saying how hard that guy worked.  That he even worked weekends.  To which I said something to the effect of that's only because he is married.  The guy actually laughed because I knew what was up. 

Married men love to say they have to work long hours or weekends if only to avoid going home.  

Same case here. 

But anyways. 

Now that we know he is running for re-election...what about Mary Gonzalez?

Unlike, your current CongressX, Gonzalez does not get paid six-figures to bitch and moan about the president.  Gonzalez actually has to put in the work, but get none of the reward.  She probably would like to have her hair done once-a-month too. 

Does she leave you all in suspense up until filing?

We will find out sooner than later...shit July is almost over. 

 

 

How the Mighty Have Fallen

Last November, Beto on the heels of a "good" loss and Vero winning her congressional seat, the sky was the limit. 

But something happened.

More ballsy women who do not give a phuck also won their races.

One woman who lives about 2,200 miles from the border gets more airtime talking about the border than the one who can see Mexico from the roof of her mansion.

Hell, a local area immigration judge gets more airtime than Vero.

And there is the fact that there is not a national equivalent of a Bob Moore who is out there to amp up Vero's profile.  

If anything, Bob Moore probably overdid it with Vero.  

Let's face it. 

There is nothing really special about being a County Judge, or about Vero as a CongressX for that matter. 

Again, have you heard anything about your current County Judge?

At this point, Vero is hoping and praying that our President tweets something about her.  

Had Norma Chavez been your CongressX, the President would have already tweeted "U R Not My Friend."

But I digress.

Then there's Beto.

What. The. Phuck.

This is the guy that beat Reyes?

You gotta think he is delusional.

He really thought he could pull the same race he ran last year in a Democratic presidential primary.

He likes to talk about how does not want consultants and blah blah blah, but no candidate with as much free publicity he had had a shittier role out.  

Now, he is talking about reparations.   Shit, you go first motherphucker.  You got money, or at least your wife does.  Start cutting checks.  Not that I am "for" or "against" reparations.  But here is the rich white guy, not wanting to use his own money, to pay for the sins of his father.  Go phuck yourself.

Any who. 

It is just crazy how the fortunes of these two changed so much since election night.

What is that they say about making plans?  If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans?

 

 

 

 

 

Come on, Joe

So some no-names want to run for DA.

Meanwhile, Joe Moody does nothing. 

Maybe Joe is betting on Democrats winning the Texas House, but then what?

Will he be Speaker? 

Unlikely.

Not because he is a bad guy, but some of his fellow colleagues who have been around longer and hail from other larger  metros will not let that happen. 

A chairmanship of a committee? 

Yeah, that can happen, but you're working your ass off for what? 

The only perks of that are really lobbyist-paid meals.  

And do you really want more lobbyist-paid meals?

You can make a better steak at home anyways.

That, and when all is said and done, David Stout works one day a week and makes 10 times more than you.

I know David K thinks the weed thing might hurt Moody, but come on.  El Paso fired Silvestre Reyes, and hired a bike messenger.  And man, how that bike messenger has fallen.  But that's for another day.

Maybe the reason why Moody passes on DA is because he does want to run statewide.  He figures staying in Austin he can keep all the contacts he has made  to make that run one day.  But then for how long can you chug along with little pay, and time away from home?  There's nothing to say you cannot run for AG one day if you are a DA.  Or for that matter, just because you go back home that does not mean you have to throwaway all that you did in Austin.  

But, whatever.

But come January 2021, if it feels like Groundhog Day a month earlier than usual, well, don't say you did not have a choice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Veronica Escobar - Playing Esther

Your Congresswoman, Veronica Escobar, is in the news.  

You would not know it from reading the El Paso Times though. 

I guess Escobar is so overwhelmed with guilty about her better half deporting people for a living, or when she was running the County and defending the federal inmate contract, that she thinks she needs to play Esther.

Apparently, she is sending staff to coach asylum seekers as to how to work around the system.
