Or if Austin still does haven’t Uber, please let Cesar be your DD.  Cesar won’t be doing much this session anyways.  The least he can do is keep Austin streets safe.

Nobody Likes Cesar

Your Texas Delegation has received its committee assignments.

And kudos to Joe Moody and Mary Gonzalez. 

They did A-Okay.

But the same cannot be said for the rest of the Delegation. 

Now, Lina Ortega can be forgiven because she has the personality of a dead moth. 

But Cesar Blanco!?!?!

He is supposed to be one of the best legislators in the Texas Legislature. 

But it looks like he is not. 

He got dicked over. 

And the only reason he got dicked over....because nobody likes him.

That is the only possible explanation.

Why would other legislators not like him? 

He's a bit cocky.  Granted, all elected officials are cocky, but like with most other things it is on a spectrum, and he must be on the far end of it. 

 

El Paso Made A Mistake

El Paso should be regretting its decision to send Veronica Escobar to Washington. 

She is doing everything she can to get attention, but the other freshpersons who happen to be women are just too much for her to overcome. 

Escobar is Triple AAA compared to those folks. 

Had y'all sent my old boss, Norma Chavez, to D.C. she be putting everyone on blast. 

And it would be beautiful. 

"Norma's a bomb thrower!"

Yea, but she's a better bomb thrower than Escobar. 

Where as Escobar is "Shame on you, Mr. President!" or "This hurts my heart!", Norma would be like "U R Not My President" and "I'm Brown and Loud".

Escobar is getting paid six-figures to tweet.  

You would have gotten your money's worth with Norma...and without the Susie!

 

 

 

 

Fronchis?

Man, how things have changed.

If I am not mistaken, she is identifying herself as a "fronchi."

Which is kinda surprising.

I mean if she were to identify as anything I'd figure it would be "La Malinche."

Not that I care that her husband deports people, but some of you do.   

But back to "fronchi". 

Y'all cannot be getting to upset now if people start, or perhaps better said continue, to think that El Paso* is a suburb of Juarez when you have the Speaker's intern going about town calling herself a fronchi.  

 

 

*Oddly enough, I always found El Paso to much more American than most other Texas cities and perhaps it is because she is so far removed from the rest of Texas. 

 

 

UPDATED: El Paso and Its Elected Drunks

UPDATE  - Because someone asked...here you can check this out - Download Country Clubbin.  I guess Fierro had a little too much fun at the country club.  As far as the DUI/DWIs, come on.  Do I have to do it all for you guys? Go to the County website.  But you won't find anything under "Art".  It is under Peter Fierro.

Apparently early voting starts tomorrow in the race to fill Pickett's seat.  

But don't ask me for details cos' I don't care that much. 

But there is something I like to point out which I find funny.

Cesar Blanco has endorsed Art Fierro.  

Blanco would not be in office had his predecessor called an intern to drive her drunk ass home.  

Voters did not take too kindly to her driving drunk, and fired El Paso's only real lesbian from public office.  

But as fate, life, whatever you want to call it, would have it, Blanco is endorsing a guy - Art Fierro - with not only one DUI, but TWO!

What do you think is gonna happen to him once he gets to Austin?

A kid in a phuckin' candy store. 

But El Paso being El Paso it just might overlook Fierro's drunken behavior.

Voters in El Paso have given SOME drunks a pass.

Drunk Latina lesbians? No.

Drunk Irishmen? ERIN GO BRAGH, CABRONES!  

Now, Art isn't exactly Irish, but he is not exactly a lesbian either.   

So this may come down to a coin flip for some voters. 

 

 

 

 

The Case Against The Wall

I am gonna make a case against the wall. 

No, it has nothing to do with the fact it is a "waste of money" because it is not.  A "waste of money" is a land war in western Asia.    

So why no wall then?

Besides it affecting the possible re-introduction of the jaguar in the American southwest?

Because the migrants, much like many who live in the American southwest, are descendants of Spanish colonial subjects and as such as have the right of movement on these former Spanish colonial lands. 

So let's drop the pretense of "human rights" and "morality".  

All those other arguments are bullshit.  

Now, some "white" people will be like "A-HA! We knew it!"

While those who say they are "LatinX" won't know what to say because they hate all things colonial Spain because something about the extermination of native people even though native culture is much more stronger and vibrant in Spain's former colonies than say in any former English colony.,.because there are still a lot more native people around.  

At least ascertaining the rights of all descendants of New Spain to freely move in what was New Spain is more honest than anything else they are selling you. 

Now, if they some Guatemalan wants to move into Kansas, then I can understand why some may have issue.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Immigration Reform or Lack Thereof - I can fix it

Say what you will about Donald Trump at least he has ideas on immigration. 

The opposition?

Sweet.  F. Uck. All.

Yeah, that even includes your former Congressman, Beto O'Rourke.  

He's the guy from the border who was a Congressman, but if you tried to nail him down for specifics on what he thinks we should do to improve our current immigration process, he ends up blowing a bunch of smoke up your ass.  Which hey, for some folks that does it for them. 

Him and others that clamor for "something" end up clamoring for nothing. 

They will go from "comprehensive immigration reform" to "Well, we just need to appropriate more resources blah blah blah."

In other words, in their heart-of-hearts, everything is fine, it is just Trump being the asshole. 

But I know things are not fine. 

We do need to do something. 

And no, we do not need something "comprehensive".   

So what is it?

Simple. 

Make it legal to hire "illegals."

Forget pathway to citizenship or residency or some convoluted work visa program. 

Nativists, rightly or wrongly, feel immigrants are undercutting them wage-wise because they will work for less.  It is not exactly a misplaced sentiment.  You go from shithole Guatemala living off 100 bucks month to earning 100 bucks a day in America, well, hell, you feel like you did hit the lottery.  But if "illegals" are extended the same employment rights and privileges - in other words liabilities - as citizens or residents, then you take out that incentive for businesses to go after cheaper labor (even though in practice in a lot places, legal or not, employers have to pay above market rate).

Now that being said, under Max's proposal, if you are an "illegal", and are working here legally because of my new proposal, BUT ICE catches you...well, it was fun while it lasted.

That's not to say you cannot try to come back.  Because this is America, and we believe all people get a second act. 

But there you have it. 

A fix.
