Jose Rodriguez - Hates Gringos

...but sure as hell likes to live like one.

That or he has really take to heart...un político pobre es un pobre politico.

Regardless.

His defense of spending habits is, well, caca.

"My district is too big!!!"

His next door neighbor, State Senator Carlos Uresti, has a bigger district, but ranks much lower than him in spending.

"My district is too far from Austin!"

Another colleague of Jose's, State Senator Kel Seliger, ranks even lower still in spending, and lives in Amarillo, and his district is even larger than Uresti's.

Jose has lived off the government teat for his entire life.

He has never worked a day in his life in the private sector.

Spending your money is all he has known and all that he will ever do.

 

Quite frankly, Veronica Escobar is full of crap

Back in March, your Congressman, Beto O'Rourke, announced he was running for Senate. 

That was the announcement, but his decision was probably made long before then. 

And you know who was probably privy to that decision?

County Judge Veronica Escobar.

And you know what other decision was made at that time Beto made his?

Escobar's decision to run for Congress.

Escobar has known for several months, if not at least a year, that she was running for Congress.

And yet, Escobar spits out bullshit like THIS:

"I know everyone's eager to learn about a replacement ... but the court is being really deliberate about it and wants to make the right decision, not a quick decision."

"This has been week three, so it hasn't even been a month."

That asshole thinks you all are stupid, if not all of you, at the very least, she thinks, no, she knows, El Paso Times' reporters are that fucking stupid.

This is the same asshole that voted herself a pay raise TWICE.

And still collects a paycheck for a job which she allegedly resigned from.

Escobar does not want a replacement.

But I would think the rest of Commissioners Court does. 

It only needs three votes. 

With the exception of Stout, I am sure the other three can agree to someone. 

And if they do not, well, there basically agreeing to offer Escobar a golden parachute.

An 18-year old and 20-year old were moving 100lbs of cocaine.

You guys may call that stupidity.

I call that ambition.

When I was at that age, I was either studying or masturbating.  

But not these kids.

Had they gotten away with it, they could have bought a few bitcoins.

Or maybe they have gotten away it with before.

Or maybe they were "suckered".

Whatever the case, you gotta have a special kind of drive knowing the risks to raise your hand and say, "Yea, I'll move some bricks for you past armed federal agents."

Please do not get all moralistic.

Yes, cocaine is poison, but so is sugar.  But nobody gets mad at Hershey's or Nestle for moving their poison.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Escobar - Pay-to-Play DINO?

The immediate knock against Dori Fenenbock is that she is being backed by "The Republicans".

But if that is a knock against her, it is the knock against Escobar.

Look at Escobar's reception host committee list (see below).

If the other knock against Dori is that she is corrupt because of some convoluted nonsense regarding a consultant at EPISD, well, that is also a knock against Escobar as well.

Who is currently the County Judge?

Veronica Escobar.

Who is hitting the County up for money for a soccer stadium?

MountainStar Sports Group.

Who is on the host committee for Escobar's campaign reception?

Owners of MountainStar Sports Group.

Talk about pay-to-play.

 

R.I.P. Paul Moreno

Paul Moreno has passed.

He was a lot things to a lot of people.

To some, he was a "great legislator".

So let us take a moment to reflect upon all that Moreno accomplished legislatively for El Paso while serving in the Texas Legislature for nearly half a century:
