Veronica Escobar: Transparency Hypocrite?

City Council on Allen

Here are just a few thoughts on regarding remarks from a couple city representatives that were made yesterday about Chief Allen:

• City Representative Claudia Ordaz: If anyone on city council should not have opened their mouth about Chief Allen, it was Ordaz.  Given what happened to her, County Commissioner Vince Perez and "Jose Corona", you would think she would be appreciative.  AND if you really wanted to criticize a police department about uneven treatment, well, those three would be a poster child for privilege. 
• City Representative Peter Svarzbein: Svarzbein shared a couple stories about being a victim of a hate crime.  The one story I have to pick a bone with is his story when someone told him he was an Afghan terrorist or something or other.  I am sorry that is not a hate crime.  Look, from my father's side I am Iranian, and from my mother's side I am Mexican.  I have heard all sorts of shit said about me in good taste, bad taste, and for shits and giggles as it relates to my ethnicity, or mis-classification thereof.  If someone calls me a "camel jockey", I do not lose sleep over it.

On another note, as I always like to say, there are two types of bloggers: me, and those who talk about me.  In this case, Jaime Abeytia had something to say about me. Per him, I would harass him on Twitter which is why he blocked me.  I know it sounds ridiculous.  After all, Jaime tries to come off as a tough guy.  But tough guy blocked me cos' I "bullied" him?  The truth is Jaime is jealous cos' I am better looking than him, which also bothers County Judge Veronica Escobar.  She would rather have someone as good-looking as me blogging about all the great things she is doing rather than having Jaime do it.   That's why Escobar loses it around me.

No doubt that you already know about Congressman Beto O'Rourke and a whole host of people who are not black give a black man, El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen, a civil rights history lesson.

That in of itself lies between condescension and racism. 

But hey, let's not let a tragedy go to waste.

Anything that gets us in front of camera.

Anyways. 

I had a conversation about this with your County Judge Veronica Escobar about this  last night. 

She ultimately deleted that conversation. 

But I did not. 

 

 

 

While she was deleting her tweets, she might as well have deleted her account. 

Why Escobar becomes so unhinged, who knows?

Maybe she wants me.

But I digress.

She and her friends should stop exploiting every fucking tragedy just to get in front of a camera.
