I am not going to discuss Billy Abraham's past.
It is what it is.
So why talk about him?
Because it appears the El Paso Times and other folks in town want to do anything and everything to force Abraham to unload his property.
Almost everything and anything.
Almost everything and anything short of offering a check.
That would make the most sense, right?
Nah.
As the old saying attributed to any number of former South American presidents goes, "For my friends, everything. For my enemies, the law."
Which the City is using.
But now there is a public relations effort along with the legal effort.
Folks around town and the El Paso Times figures if it could shame a sitting city representative into resigning, surely they can shame someone into unloading their property...and not necessarily by choice.
There is just one little problem.
Can you really shame guy that is in prison?
Is Abraham going to lose sleep over what Bob Moore writes about him?
Something tells me "no".
If anything, he is going to double-down.
Hell, if I were Abraham, I would tell the City of El Paso, "The deal you did for the El Paso Times building...I want something like that for my buildings."
I wonder what Bob Moore would think of that.
But then Moore is a friend, and Abraham....
