Update: Believe it or not, Max makes mistakes. Escobar didn't say Cindy Ramos-Davidson was ignorant or lacked leadership, some other asshole pushing the clinics did (going through hundred pages of emails on a computer screen does mess with the eyes). So to use the parlance of our times, "My bad." Still doesn't change the fact Escobar is self-righteous, and did not really do much to defend Cindy.
This is the second installment of emails between UMC CEO Jim Valenti and County Judge Escobar.
These emails are from 2013 back when Escobar and Valenti worked hand-in-hand to push the clinics.
I did not expect anything nefarious, but knowing how self-righteous and nit-picky Escobar is I did expect some fun.
On page 3, Escobar says that Cindy-Ramos Davidson of the Hispanic Chamber is pandering and ignorant, does not have even an ounce of leadership.
On page 7, Escobar asks that the UMC doctors who are supporting the clinics should wear their white coats. This is stuff her staff should be doing, but no Escobar is a bit of a control-freak.
On page 28, there is a funny instance where Escobar informs Valenti that her office is getting slammed with calls in support of the clinics, but that the caller ID shows the calls are coming from UMC.
Page 29 is even better.
