Enrique Moreno Helping Cesar Blanco...

Apparently Enrique Moreno is Cesar Blanco's treasurer.

So what does this mean? 

Sweet eff all.  

Let's face it.  Enrique Moreno is probably El Paso's political scene's biggest waste of space.  

He was never a contender, always a pretender.

His alleged asset for Blanco is going to be access to trial lawyer money, but even then, not all that shines is gold.  There is a disturbance in the Texas trial lawyer force.  Apparently trial lawyers in Texas have barely caught wind that their own advocacy association is spending more money on association staff than it should be (the head of the association, a non-profit, apparently takes home over a million).  With trial lawyer money so thin, it really does not make much sense to spend money on Democratic primaries given how Democrats do serve in Austin.

But Enrique Moreno gets his wish....another election cycle where he can think he is important.

It's been over a month now since Cesar Blanco said he was 90 percent in running against Naomi Gonzalez and still no formal announcement or filing yet.

Martin Paredes Is Really Exhausting Parte Dos

Unlike me, Martin Paredes hits you up for money.  

But I am the one who is bought and paid for or something like that.  

If that's the case, I guess Martin is still trying to say that he is for sale.   What does that say if a piece of real estate stays on the market way too long?  The real estate sucks.

With that said, if I go to Martin's website and drop $100.00, does he become my bi*tch? 

He should, right?  At least in his view everything is quid pro quo*. 

But we all know Martin would do the right thing and refund my money.  

Yeah right, and monkeys might fly out of my butt.

How do you think Martin Paredes' got that "opinion" from FORMER Judge Richard Roman?  I am sure Roman charged Paredes for that, if not, then Roman is fool (which can be the case).  

This explains why David K's attorney friends are indeed anonymous.  The crime, figuratively speaking, is not that they do not know want to be known, why indeed they do, the crime they do not want to commit is that of being a publicly-known attorney dishing out free opinions.  That attorney's existing clients would be like, "Hold up, you talked to some blogger about a legal case and you did not charge him, but you wanted a retainer before you could even talk to me?"

So there you have it, Martin Paredes is the blogger that is not for sale, except when he isn't, which is all the time, and he is getting legal opinion pieces from attorneys for "free".

Armando Rodriguez Diarrheas El Paso Times Opinion Page

I am sure some of you all saw it yesterday.  

No, I am not talkin about THAT.  "That" being the Sanchez-less Jets beating the Patriots.  

I am talking about Canutillo ISD School Board Presidente Armando Rodriguez' opinion piece in The El Paso Times on why he should not follow the law. 

The best part of his piece was this gem:

A trustee would commit a Class B misdemeanor if the trustee failed to file the required financial statement. The bill's provisions expire on Jan. 1, 2019.

Yes. 

This GUY -

"I don't always support transparency, but when I do I am sure that I am hammered."

is bitching and moaning about a Class B misdemeanor.

 

Aliana Apodaca's Campaign Is Off To A Bad Start

Not that Aliana Apodaca has much going for, but still you try to mitigate risk.  

And she failed.

How? 

Two words.  Norma. Chavez.

El Paso's favorite straight woman showed up at Aliana's event.   

Where Norma shows and rest of the critters follow.  At that point you need a full-scale quarantine.  

But hey, it should make things interesting.  

 

Martin Paredes Is Really Exhausting

I just read Martin Paredes post about Armando Rodriguez.   He starts off with a saying in Spanish.  

I got one too. 

Come caca.

Armando probably killed his political career.  Some might say he did so with his drunk driving.  No, that only kills his liver.  

You see nobody likes anybody who saves text messages.  Armando has been holding onto a text message for nearly a year.  I am sure there are a bunch of people out there, friends and enemies of Armando, that are probably wondering, "Does he keep everything?"  Nobody likes that kind of person. 

Now it appears that Armando Rodriguez is something of a low-level staffer at the Greater El Paso Realtors' Association.  He fetches coffee or something.  I am sure his boss and members of the association are wondering whether or not Rodriguez is saving all the texts he receives from them.  I am sure that is going to make things uncomfortable for them, uncomfortable enough to tell Rodriguez to hit the bricks. 

Now if Marisa Marquez is as corrupt as Armando Rodriguez and Martin Paredes allege then why not report the text sent to Armando by someone not named Marisa Marquez in December of last year?  

Because there is nothing there.  

If a lobbyist seeking a client is a crime, then what do we make of Armando Rodriguez hiring Aaron Barraza?   And is Aaron Barraza being paid $13,000 a month? 

That may explain why Rodriguez does not want to disclose his income.  He does not want his fellow board members, and Aaron for that matter, knowing that he makes like $14 an hour working at the Association.  I am sure Armando's dick shrivels knowing the size of Aaron's paycheck.

Armando Rodriguez Keeps Digging

Armando Rodriguez just does not know when to stop.  

His issue with State Representative Marisa Marquez has to do with a text message sent to him.  A text message NOT sent by Marisa Marquez.  A text message sent to him by a lobbyist, Mark Smith, looking for gig.  

For those who do not know, Mark Smith, is a lobbyist whose client is Woody Hunt.  As a lobbyist, it is Mark Smith's job to be as friendly to all elected officials in El Paso and Austin.   But like any other lobbyist,  Mark Smith is looking for new clients.  Not exactly shocking that a lobbyist approaches an organization to sell his or her services. 

Now what is shocking is that Armando Rodriguez chose to hire someone - Aaron Barraza - who cannot find the restrooms either at County Courthouse or State Capitol to lobby on behalf of Canutillo ISD.

What does this have to with Marisa Marquez? Nothing.  

You see, Armando Rodriguez is too scared to take on State Senator Jose Rodriguez.  Armando is scared of other men.  But a woman?  Sheeeeeiiiit.  That's what it has come down.   A drunk man picking on a woman.  

You guys thinking I am exaggerating about this alcohol.  I wish.   

Apparently, Canutillo ISD lobbyist, Aaron Barraza, did take Armando Rodriguez to the Channel 7 studios this past Sunday.  Never mind the fact Aaron Barraza was never hired to be Armando's personal assistant.  

Go to Cinncinnati you will find Armando Rodriguez drinking it up with Aaron in tow.  

This is where it gets interesting.  

Somebody has to be  paying the tab.  The question is who?

We do not know if Armando has money because we do not have any personal financial statements to go off of.  We do know lobbyists tend to "wine and dine" elected officials (see Norma Chavez's graduation party).   Is a Canutillo ISD credit card being used  to pay for these drinks?  Or is Aaron Barraza being reimbursed for picking up Armando's tab?  We do not know.  

I do know that Woody Hunt and Eliot Shapleigh cannot be all that happy with Aaron Barraza. Recently, Barraza was brought-in as the newest recruit for Team Shapleigh.  But neither Shapleigh nor Woody must all that pleased with Aaron serving as some drunk's personal valet and errand boy, a drunk mind you who is trying to fight transparency efforts.  

Did I say "transparency efforts"?  I meant to say transparency LAW.
