Cesar Blanco is not making the point he thinks he is making about Trump's proposed border wall:
Pilar 2, building a wall that already exists. #SOTU— Cesar Blanco (@CesarJBlanco) January 31, 2018
In response to my friend @RepWalle regarding my friend @poncho_nevarez home & menudo....the #BorderWall is literally a few yards from my back yard in El Paso & the menudo in #ElPaso Trumps the menudo in #EaglePass ...Sas! #txlege https://t.co/NVulMseVLU— Cesar Blanco (@CesarJBlanco) January 26, 2018
What Blanco is saying without him realizing it is, "Hey, we do not need a wall because we already have one that works!"
I am a Trump supporter, but I am opposed to a wall. But my opposition to a wall is based on aesthetics and the environment. The fact there are jaguar sightings in the Arizona desert is reason enough to not build a wall.
The sensibilities of Mexico's diplomatic corps or Jorge Ramos? Those mean sweet eff all to yours truly.
And I do not want to hear how it is waste of money given how small the costs of building the wall as it compares to the federal government's annual budget.
But I am practical.
If there is a wall already in place, why not build a more enhanced version of one?
The exception would of course be El Paso because you do have a de facto DMZ between her and Juarez, and it works.
