Max-this is your best post ever. I took on the Iron Lady on my show many times and that has to be the main reason I am not invited back to announce Miner basketball.
She has been there too long and has hoodwinked the city, state, and money big-wigs for too long.
UTEP needs a young, aggressive, student concerned President. 5/6 years to obtain a degree is ridiculous.

Max Powers

Thanks, Paul.

Part of the problem is that UTEP is a pretty campus compared to most university campuses in the State. The buildings, the mountains, the weather...UTEP is a neat place.

But Diana hides behind the aesthetics of it all which mask the ugly truth of place.

She's making $382,000 to act as general contractor/lobbyist, when she should be acting like a university president.

Josie

$382,000 a year not to mention a free maid, free gardener, free housing, etc. UTEP is a joke. Not at all student friendly. Only one that is worse is El Paso Comedy College.

Josie

Paul, I did not like your radio show when I listened to it, nor do I care for your "forum". Same old people that should buy cheese by the truckload to go with all their whining.

However, you were kick ass at announcing. I remember the Diablo games held at the old stadium. We had a blast because YOU made the game fun. The announcer at Cohen stadium was lifeless and I never had a good time the few times I attended. Too bad the head honchos did not realize how valuable you were to them.
